Position: Membership Director 

Reports to: Board of Directors 

Direct Reports: Social Committee 

Term: Up to 3 years 

Description: 

The Membership Director will oversee the COGGS Membership program and related committees.

Duties may include: 

● Manage memberships in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, Neon One, including but not limited to member acknowledgments and expiration reminders 

● Maintain an active list of memberships including current, lapsed, expired ● Membership drives to promote and recruit members 

● Outreach to organizations to increase membership benefits 

● Chair Social Committee meetings and activities helping to plan events such as: ○ Gitchee Gummee Galavant 

○ Annual Meeting 

○ Other social rides and activities 

Time involved: Candidate should be able to attend monthly board meetings, and perform tasks associated with managing the membership database and social committee.

● Outgoing, confident, tactful and organized 

● Well connected in the Duluth community or comfortable networking ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

● Understanding of recruitment processes, and talent in motivating others to join and participate 

● Basic computer skills (competence with MS Office and Google Docs) ● Ability to learn new software quickly 

● Capacity to be self-directed while working as a member of a larger team
