Minutes from February 2001 COGGS Board Meeting
- Meeting called to order by Chair Kurt Lange.
- Treasurers Report: $298
- Secretary Report: MMSC to approve minutes from January Meeting.
- Membership Report: 7 Members
- Trail Boss Report: see New Biz #3
- All board members present except Jonell Susnik,Treasurer. (Gerry O fills in
with Treasurer Report)
Old Bizz
1. Taxes- still waiting, form needed from CPA. Kurt to look into as is
Treasurer still from previous meeting.
2. Race Budgets- BDF5- prelim budget approved, but still waiting for final
draft.
CX Race- Budget approved;
MTB races still waiting on budgets
New Bizz
1. URL (www.Coggs.com) renewal- $24.95 per year. MMSC to renew URL for this
next year.
2. Promotional Flyer- Promotions director to create.
3. Trail Meeting w/ City of Duluth- City of Duluth is making plans of
building new non motorized (mountain bike) specific trails in the city of
Duluth.COGGS will be involved in the construction and maintenance of the
trail project.
Project is still in the planning stages.
4. Specialized Bike CO. Grant- COGGS' application is currently being
processed and COGGS still has the option of baking out if there are strings
attached that limit the future development of COGGS.
5. COGGS XC Ski Party- March 11th, skiing at 12 noon, Brats at 2pm. Superior
Ski Trails.
(One Day Passes ($5) available onsite) Come and enjoy some great skiing
and company.
6. MTB Patrol- if interested, contact Chairperson Kurt Lange.
7. DS Race- looking at having a dual slalom race at both the Monkey and
Spanker. Still in planning stages. We are looking for a person to plan/run
this event
8. CX race- budget approved. Volunteers needed. Contact Harry Anderson or
Kurt Lange.
9. Maintenance Calendar- Still in progress. Looking at the 1st Saturday in
every month to be designated as the COGGS monthly trail day. Spirit course
still needs to be built and ridden in.
